Kasliwal Chambers’ has its roots firmly grounded in history going back to the year 1885 when Fauzdar Dhanna Lal Kasliwal was appointed as a ‘Vakil’ by the then Jaipur State. This professional initiation in the legal field by Fauzdar Dhanna Lal Ji Kasliwal was carried forward by his son Mr. Purna Chand Kasliwal, who was Nazim and had Quasi Judicial Powers and his sons Sr. Advocate Mr. Gulab Chand Kasliwal and Advocate Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal.
The practice was formally established under the British Rule and the Common Law by Mr. Gulab Chand Kasliwal, who after getting his Law Degree from the University of Lucknow (U.P.), joined the Bar Council in the year 1932. He practiced extensively for nearly 50 years in Civil and Constitutional laws in the Supreme Court of India, High Court of Rajasthan at Jodhpur as-well-as Bench at Jaipur. He actively participated in freedom movement and was kept in solitary conferment for 06 months by the British Government.
Sr. Advocate Sudhanshu Kasliwal
He is an accomplished Sr. Advocate who has been practicing law in the State of Rajasthan since 1971. He started his practice under the able guidance of his uncle Designated Sr. Advocate (Late) Mr. Gulab Chand Kasliwal. After practicing under him for 10 years he started his practice with his father Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal, a renowned Civil Lawyer and took the family profession to altogether new heights by making it one of the most renowned Law office in the State of Rajasthan.
He gave the profession a more corporate look when he laid the foundation of “Kasliwal Chambers” having its roots since 1932in the year 1996. Under his able guidance, a practice prevalent in the office grew from being known as a Civil Chamber to a Full-Service Law Firm within a short period of time. He enjoyed the reputation of being the Sole Panel Advocate for all the Oil Companies in the State of Rajasthan besides being on the panel of several other Public Sector Undertakings.

In the year 1956, Mr. Gulab Chand Kasliwal’s contribution in the legal field was acknowledged as he was designated as a Senior Advocate by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and was also appointed as the Advocate General for the High Court of Rajasthan and remained so continuously for a period of 17 years, from the year 1954 to 1970. Besides this, he was also the Chairman of the municipal council, Jaipur and he was heading 28 committees who framed various laws & bye laws which are still in vogue.
Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal joined the Bar Council in the year 1942 after attaining his LL.B. Degree from Agra University and rose to become a well-known and reputed lawyer in Civil Laws and practiced law for 50 years. Throughout his distinguished career as a lawyer of impeccable repute, Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal carved out a special niche for himself not only in the legal fraternity but also amongst the public at-large in the State of Rajasthan. Amongst many accolades, Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal was appointed as the Secretary to the Capital Advisory Committee at a young age of 29 and in accordance with the recommendations of the said Committee Jaipur was made Capital of the State of Rajasthan. He also played a prominent role in setting-up a bench of the High Court of Rajasthan at Jaipur while the High Court was being shifted to Jodhpur in 1956. To protest the shifting of the Bench, he surrendered his municipal corporation’s membership and was also jailed in this connection. He was an accomplished social worker connected with many social & religious organizations.
Mr. Sudhanshu Kasliwal son of Mr. Ram Chandra Kasliwal completed his law degree in the year 1971 and joined the Bar Council of Rajasthan and together with his younger brother Mr. Anant Kasliwal who joined him in 1980 gave the office practice a corporate look by laying the foundation of “Kasliwal Chambers” Advocates Since 1932 in order to keep pace with the growing needs of its vast clientele and to keep abreast with the developments taking place in the legal profession. He expanded the work to various areas including Civil, Constitutional, Commercial, Banking & Restructuring, Arbitration & Conciliation, Real Estate, Railway Claims and Consumer Laws. While Mr. Anant Kasliwal practiced on Income Tax and Company Laws.
Mr. Sudhanshu Kasliwal, having designated as a Senior Advocate in the year 2011 in recognition to his contribution to the Legal Profession, handed over his complete Practice unto his two daughters Ms. Suruchi Kasliwal & Ms. Sukriti Kasliwal, who together carried forward the work in the name of S. Kasliwals & Associates, Kasliwal Chambers Advocates since 1932 while Mr. Anant Kasliwal opened his own office and is joined there by Mr. Vaibhav Kasliwal & his son Mr. Shashank Kasliwal.
Both Ms. Suruchi Kasliwal & Ms. Sukriti Kasliwal are now heading the two separate offices in Jaipur at Signature Tower and at Bani Park, respectively. They are the fifth generation Lawyers’ of the family and are assisted by their respective separate teams each consisting of 20-25 members.
The office is proud of having one of the oldest and richest legal libraries in the Country, which is also perhaps the oldest in the State of Rajasthan. This illustrious library is being maintained since the year 1856, comprising of books written by internationally renowned authors.
